Baker Consultants

Much of Baker Consultants’ work involves large-scale developments where there is a need for habitat management plans as part of the mitigation works.

For most developments, this is tied to planning conditions or a Section 106 agreement where there is a requirement to manage the open space under the terms of a habitat management plan that is integrated with the landscape design.

Baker Consultants has considerable experience of compiling and negotiating Landscape and Ecology Management Plans (LEMPs) with the Planning Authority and other interested parties, whether this is at the outline planning stage or the increased detail needed for a full application.

Baker Consultants will often write and cost the LEMP so that it can be used to inform the management body that may take on the management of open space, whether it be an adopting authority, community interest company or management company. We produced a new Management Plan for Worsbrough Mill 17th century working water mill and country park.
