It’s the silly season; dusk and dawn surveys, torchlight surveys of ponds, and bottle trapping. Some would say that this is why we do the job, being out in the field, seeing amazing sunrises, and beautiful landscapes. We say that too! more

We are pleased to announce that Baker Consultants has moved! The success of our first year (with close to 100 projects secured since we started trading) has resulted in the need for a formal office. The office is located in the West platform “upside” waiting room of Cromford Station, part of the Arkwright Society’s UNESCO World Heritage site . You can visit us on the mainline from Derby or Nottingham to Matlock (trains stop at Cromford Station twice an hour) and we’ll make you a coffee. more

Baker Consultants has just completed its first year of trading and what a year it has been! While many thought it brave to start a new consultancy in the depths of a recession, events proved such skepticism to be unfounded. Although the market was tough for everyone we were able to demonstrate that those who can respond quickly to adverse market conditions and provide clients with a quality service that is efficient and tailored to their specific needs can thrive. Within three weeks of our launch we had secured 200% of our predicted annual turnover for Year 1 (so much for business planning!). more
