Kelly, Susan and Fred are this week at the amazing Field Studies Council in Malham Tarn learning about Grasses, sedges and rushes, and there is a lot to learn, so much so that this is the second time on this course, and they're threatening another visit (the food must be too good).

The course is led by botanist guru Judith Allinson and is a full six days. With a chance to see some of the rarest plants in the UK at some of the most beautiful sites, it is proving to be a fascinating week.

The rest of us are expecting great things from them in the field next spring, and will be on the look out for rare species in the fields of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
